In 2016, the Badminton Centre opened its doors to everyone. The Centre's building is adjacent to the Tennis Academy and is located within walking distance from the Universiada Village residential district, the main building of the Volga Region University of Sports and Tourism, and the Burevestnik sports complex.
The building with a total area of more than three thousand square metres has twelve playing fields and stands for three hundred spectators. The Badminton Centre is home to the Badminton Federation of the Republic of Tatarstan and the Republican Badminton Sports School of Olympic Reserve. All twelve courts are available to residents and guests of the city.
