On 19 November Russia celebrates the Day of the Higher School Teacher.
The date of the professional holiday was not chosen by chance - on this day the outstanding Russian scientist and educator Mikhail Vasilyevich Lomonosov, one of the founders of Russian education and Moscow State University, was born.
And 2023 was also declared by the President of the country as the Year of Teacher and Mentor. Thus, the head of state emphasised the importance of teaching.
Today, 301 teachers work at Volga Region University.
Next year it will be 50 years since the university has been training highly qualified specialists in the field of physical culture, sports and tourism.
The high level of the teaching staff, coaches and employees of the university, established traditions, excellent material, technical and scientific base allow us to be one of the leaders in our field in the Russian Federation.
All this constantly requires your endurance and full dedication.
