On the eve of the opening ceremony of the Future Games International Tournament in Kazan, the heads of delegations of the countries participating in the Future Games competitions were shown the capabilities of the Volga Region State University of Physical Culture, Sports and Tourism. Oleg Matytsin, Minister of Sport of the Russian Federation, and Rafis Burganov, Rector of the university, familiarised them with the infrastructure of one of Russia's leading sports universities.
The acquaintance with the university took place immediately after the meeting of the Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Dmitry Chernyshenko and the Minister of Sport of the Russian Federation with representatives of foreign delegations.
As a reminder, the meeting was attended by heads of delegations from 23 countries, including: Minister of Sport and Tourism of the Republic of Belarus Sergey Kovalchuk, Minister of Youth Policy and Sport of the Republic of Uzbekistan Adham Ikramov, President of the National Institute of Sport, Physical Culture and Active Recreation of the Republic of Cuba Osvaldo Montillier, Minister of Education of the United Arab Emirates Ahmad Al Falasi, Minister of Youth and Sport of the Republic of Indonesia Ario Bimo Nandito Ariotejo.
The guests were shown educational, cultural, training, scientific and sports halls. Representatives of the participating countries visited the 2013 Summer Universiade Museum, the Information Resource Centre, and got acquainted with the digital technologies of the sports university.
