The pre-New Year All-Russian competitions continued in Khanty-Mansiysk (Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Area - Yugra). The first start at this stage was a 10km sprint among juniors 19-21 years old.
Nikita Blinov, a member of the Russian national team, a first year student of our university coped with the shooting flawlessly - he shot clean at both shooting ranges. Competent approach to the shooting stage of the race, confident work at a "lying" position and a "stand", fast running are the indicators of productive work at the summer training camp and the bronze medal at the beginning of the winter season. In the next pursuit, where the biathletes had to overcome 12.5 km and 4 shooting ranges. Nikita made four inaccurate shots and finished one step off the podium, with a wooden medal. In two successful performances the athlete confirmed his earlier title of the Master of Sport of Russia.
The President of the Biathlon Federation of the Republic of Tatarstan said that Blinov had been training with the Russian national team this season. He is in constant contact with the Russian national team coaching staff, head coach of the reserve team Vladimir Bragin.
Aliya Nugmanova, the athlete's personal trainer and a master's student of our university, also noted the high level of performance and readiness for the upcoming starts.
