Today the Bashir Rameyev IT Park in Kazan is hosting the Republican Anti-Corruption Forum to coincide with International Anti-Corruption Day.
For the first time this year the forum is being held in two stages. The first stage was dedicated to discussion of corruption risks in the following spheres: education, environmental and sanitary-epidemiological safety, housing and communal services, funeral and burial services, medical services and agriculture.
The problems and the areas themselves were identified on the basis of citizens' appeals. And the plenary session resulted in the determination of the vector for solving these problems.
Participants in the first stage of the forum included heads of national ministries and agencies, district administrations, public organizations, representatives of science, young people involved in implementing state anti-corruption policy, entrepreneurs, and heads of anti-corruption and other offence prevention agencies from several Russian regions. The Volga Region University of Physical Culture, Sports and Tourism was represented by Natalia Grechannikova, Vice-Rector for Administrative Work, Social Development and Youth Policy of the Volga Region University.
The second stage of the forum opened with the platform "Anti-corruption Policy and Protection of Young Families' Rights", which gathered participants of communities of young families of the Republic of Tatarstan, youth parliaments of municipalities, youth anti-corruption assistants of heads of municipalities of the Republic of Tatarstan. Students and young academics from Povolzhsky University also took part in the forum.
"On 9 December, the whole world celebrates International Anti-Corruption Day. Traditionally, this is the eighth time the forum has been held on this day. The main task of the second stage of the forum is to discuss proposals from youth representatives. More than 200 participants will discuss key issues and problems faced by young families in order to develop mechanisms to solve them and reduce corruption risks," Deputy Minister of Youth Affairs of the Republic of Tatarstan Alla Kondratyeva said.
The institute of young families, stipulated by the federal law "On Youth Policy," is an important element of Tatarstan's society, and assistance in preserving and developing young families is a key objective of the Tatarstan Government.
The forum is organised by the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Tatarstan President's Office on Anti-Corruption Policy, the Ministry of Education and Science, the Ministry of Youth Affairs of the Republic of Tatarstan, and the Youth Parliament of the Republic of Tatarstan.
