Following the track and field athletes, skiers opened the autumn competition season. And following the example of their elders, leaders of the All-Russian competitions, they became the undisputed winners in the open championship of Kazan in the cross-country skiing discipline. The cross-country skiing event was held in Yudino, at the Lokomotiv stadium. The competition was dedicated to the memory of S. Presnyakov, cross-country skiing coach. More than 250 cross-country skiers came to test their level of preparation before the winter season and to honour the memory of the honoured coach. And a day earlier on the same track, our athletics team celebrated their victory.

A triumphant weekend turned out for the athletes of the Volga Region University of Sport! In the Junior division, born in 2003-2004, the cross-country skiers took the podium on a distance of 8 km.
