Rector of the Volga Region University of Physical Culture, Sport and Tourism Rafis Burganov takes part in the 10th International Forum "Russia - country of sport". The forum has started today and will work till September 30th. More than 40 business program events on six sites in Kemerovo, Sheregesh and Belov are planned for three days. An exhibition of Russian-made sports equipment and inventory has started as a part of the forum. Extensive sporting program and cultural events are also waiting for the participants and guests.
Russian Minister of Sport Oleg Matytsin addressed the Forum participants:

The anniversary forum will become a landmark event in modern sports history. Today, when our country and Russian sports are facing new challenges under sanctions pressure, it is more important than ever to strengthen the national sports system, offer new competition formats and improve the infrastructure for sports and physical culture. We need to create all the conditions for the training of Russian national teams, to provide our athletes with the best bases, equipment, gear and inventory.
The forum is a platform for a productive exchange of views for Russian and international experts. This year, the key areas of the forum "Russia - a Sports Power" will be the topics of promoting physical culture and sports, supporting Russian athletes, import substitution, digitalization of the industry and the implementation of the federal projects "Sport is the norm of life" and "Business Sprint", thanks to which new sports facilities and innovative sports grounds.
I am sure that the forum hosted by the hospitable Kemerovo this year will contribute to the further development of our industry and will become the starting point for many projects,” the Minister of Sports of Russia said in a statement.
