A memorandum of understanding was signed between the Volga Region University and the Mirzo Ulugbek National University of Uzbekistan. As part of the Kazan delegation, together with senior lecturer of the Department of Theory and Methodology of Martial Arts Alexey Kaplev, sophomore Kim Kirill and third-year students Yulia Kazryatova and Danil Alekseev arrived in Tashkent.
"As part of the memorandum, we held two-week training camps in Tashkent to prepare for the All-Russian Universiade," says Alexey Kaplev. – We were very warmly received. We conducted several trainings with the university team, with the national team of Uzbekistan and athletes of the strongest clubs in Tashkent."
A return visit of a delegation from Uzbekistan to Kazan is expected next academic year.
"We plan to hold similar training camps for their athletes with sparring sessions with our leading taekwondo athletes," said the coach-teacher of the Volga Region University.
