Seven students of the University of Sports became winners and prize-winners of the sumo Wrestling championship of the Republic of Tatarstan.
The tournament among men and women was held at the AK-BARS Martial Arts Palace.
Anna Kozlova became the champion in the weight category up to 60 kg, Regina Nurutdinova took gold in the category up to 50 kg, and Emil Ziganshin became the best in the category up to 115 kg.
The silver medalists were Ksenia Nedelkova (up to 73 kg), Vladimir Sharonov (up to 90 kg), and Dmitry Vasilenko (up to 70 kg).
The bronze medals were won by Evgenia Startseva (up to 73 kg) and Emil Ziganshin in the absolute weight category.
