The Russian University Cup in aesthetic gymnastics in Moscow has come to an end. There were 14 teams from all over the country, and it was held in a significant place for gymnasts - the Irina Viner Palace.
The Volga Region University team took the fourth place.
- The Russian Cup was an important experience for us. We were just a little bit short of the podium... Everyone gave their best, that's the most important thing. Now we have new starts ahead of us: the championship and championship of the Republic of Tatarstan, which will be held on May 12, and right after them - the championship and championship of the Volga Federal District in Izhevsk.
We are proud to represent our university at such a high level. It was difficult for me, as a rhythmic gymnastics coach, to understand aesthetic gymnastics, I have to put the performances on my own, but the girls supported me. It is not easy for them to combine work, study and training, but we tried to find a balance. In our team there are guys from different courses, including graduates, so I think that the best results are still ahead of us, - shared Eleonora Sofyina, teacher of the Department of Theory and Methodology of Gymnastics of the Volga Region University of Sports, coach of the team.
