The Department of Economics and Management in Sport organized a meeting of university students with Albert Salikhov, Head of the Administration of Vakhitovsky and Privolzhsky districts of Kazan. The students of the University of Sport and Tourism learned not only about the activities of the administration of the city districts, but also about the professional experience of the speaker.
- It was a useful, career guidance event. Albert Irshatovich told about his career path: how he worked as a director at a sports school, acted as the Chairman of the Physical Culture and Sports Committee of Kazan, and then was appointed Head of the districts' administration. He also shared how he overcomes the difficulties he faces as head of the districts' administration,” Rodion Zipunov, a student of sports management, noted the key topics of the meeting.
The meeting was a part of career guidance activities conducted by the Department of Economics and Sports Management to familiarize university students with their future profession and help them find a place for internships and further employment.
Gulnaz Ageyeva, Associate Professor of the Department of Economics and Sports Management at Volga Region University, noted that the event resulted in a proposal to hold a strategic session on the development of the Vakhitovsky and Privolzhsky districts of Kazan for young people. Students will assess the current situation of the districts, give recommendations and defend project ideas - the administration will support them with prizes and gifts.
- It was a really useful and interesting meeting for me. I was impressed by Albert Irshatovich's openness. Throughout the meeting I could feel his sincere interest both in work and in communication with students. I am glad that I had the opportunity to meet him - such people motivate me to develop and try myself in different directions, - shared her impressions of the meeting with Alexandra Skobtsova, a student of sports management.
