More than 150 bachelors and masters of the Institute of Distance Education received diplomas of Volga Region University. The first to receive diplomas from the hands of Rector Rafis Burganov were the masters.
Oleg Solomakhin, Director of the Institute of Extramural Education, noted that this year's graduates are strong - out of 40 masters, 22 received diplomas with honors.
- I myself graduated from the second university by correspondence and I understand perfectly well how many times you may have had doubts about whether you should get additional education. Volga region University will remain as dear home to you as it was during those two and a half years. We are always ready to provide retraining programs and solve questions that will arise in the theory and methodology of sports, - said Rector of the sports university Rafis Burganov at the award ceremony.
Among the graduates are Elena Vyalbe, President of the Russian Cross-Country Skiing Federation, and Ilshat Fardiev, Vice-President of the Russian Cross-Country Skiing Federation and President of the Cross-Country Skiing Federation of the Republic of Tatarstan.
- I decided to continue my studies in higher education as I enjoyed my studies. I have been working in the energy sector as a manager for more than 25 years, and there was no time resource to continue my studies. But it does not fit my character, our lineage and I did not let my favorite sport pass me by.
I am grateful to the head of the department of theory and methodology of physical training and sports Nadezhda Mugallimova. I also like my teacher - professor Firuza Zotova, who knows how to demand full commitment.
I am proud that I am a graduate of the Volga Region State University of Physical Culture, Sports and Tourism. There are good teachers here. We wish our university to prosper. We will not let our university down. We will prove it by deeds and will further increase our knowledge, get education - postgraduate studies are ahead, - he emphasized.
126 bachelors received graduation diplomas in three areas: physical education, sports management and adaptive physical education. Adelia Pavlova, vice-rector for academic work and digital transformation, took part in the awarding ceremony.
In their response to the teachers, the graduates emphasized that the diploma is a symbol of determination, hard work and belief in themselves. They noted that they learned to work in a team, take responsibility and are ready to use the knowledge they have gained to achieve their goals.
