College students will test their knowledge of history and other general education subjects during the All-Russian Assessment of Educational Quality (VPR).

The All-Russian Assessment Tests kicked off today at the Volga Region University College. A total of 278 students will take the tests—142 first-year and 136 second-year students who completed their general education coursework last academic year.

This year, all participants—regardless of their field of study—will complete two assessments: a mandatory test in History and a test in a subject relevant to their specialization. Students majoring in Physical Education and Adaptive Physical Education will be tested on Social Studies, while future tourism and hospitality professionals will take a Geography test. Meanwhile, students specializing in Information Systems and Programming, as well as those in Technical Operation and Maintenance of Information Systems, will take an assessment in Computer Science.

"All-Russian assessment tests are conducted to monitor the level and quality of student preparation in accordance with federal state educational standards for secondary vocational education," emphasized College Director Alsu Zheltyakova.

The assessment of Volga University college students as part of the All-Russian Verification Tests (VPR) will continue until October 1.
