Elections for the fourth leadership team of the Student Council took place at the Volga Region University College. The vote marked another annual milestone in the development of student self-governance as a new team took the helm.

Following the election results, Kira Korosteleva was named the new Chair of the Secondary Vocational Education (SVE) Student Council, with Vildan Gilmutdinov appointed as her deputy.

Leadership roles for specific functional areas were also renewed. Alina Krivel became the Creative Manager, Malika Mustafina took over as Chair of the Dormitory Student Council, and Miroslava Shalunova assumed leadership of the Volunteer Center.

Kirill Sannikov was elected Media Center Manager, Rada Makarova took charge of the Council of Class Representatives and Tutors, Arshidin Ismailov became the Sports Manager, and Parviz Umarov took the lead of the Military-Patriotic Club.

The newly elected Student Council Chair, Kira Korosteleva, shared her thoughts on the election campaign and her plans for the upcoming term:

“The elections went wonderfully; there was a lot of positivity, excitement, and joy. We plan to hold as many events as possible, build a cohesive student council team, and establish a direct link between the students and the activists who will advocate for their interests.

I haven’t held a position on the student council before, but I’ve been actively involved in college life: I’ve been part of the dormitory leadership team and the student security service, I serve as a class representative and a tutor, and I participate in the creative activities of the Secondary Vocational Education department.

The new—fourth—student council aims to maintain continuity and continue working to unite the student body,” she stated.
