Galina Satunina, a college instructor, has been appointed as an expert for the "Abilympics" National Championship of Professional Skills for People with Disabilities and Health Limitations in the "Hotel Administration" category. She earned this status after passing a qualifying exam.
In addition, Galina Satunina and Yasmina Davydova—a college student and Abilympics finalist—attended an orientation session at the Volga Youth Center, organized by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Tatarstan.
Yasmina Davydova is a second-year student at the Volga Region University college. She won the regional stage in March and successfully passed the qualifying round for the Volga and Ural Federal Districts in May; in November of the new academic year, she will compete in the national stage of the contest under Galina Satunina’s guidance.
According to Galina Satunina, the orientation session was highly engaging. It brought together winners of regional Abilympics championships, finalists from the national championship's qualifying stage, and representatives of the Youth Community, making the exchange of experience truly productive.
“The program focused on professional growth: we attended training sessions and workshops, and discussed career strategies and transferable skills. I would particularly highlight the psychological training sessions—they were designed to help participants manage anxiety, boost self-confidence, and find the inner resources needed to handle challenging situations.
It was especially valuable that the program addressed not only skills but also motivation and self-definition, helping the participants move forward with greater confidence. I believe the skills and connections gained will serve as a solid foundation for the participants in the future,” shared Galina Satunina.
