Alena Muslakhova, a second-year student at Volga Region University College, under the mentorship of Maria Vesloguzova, Head of the Department of Service and Tourism, won bronze in the All-Russian Professional Skills Championship "Professionals" in the Tour Operator Activity category.

After becoming a finalist in the regional stage, the student represented the Republic of Tatarstan at the All-Russian stage, which took place in St. Petersburg at Petrovsky College. The Volga Region team has been demonstrating its professionalism in the final stages of the championship for several years now.

During the All-Russian stage, Alena Muslakhova demonstrated her skills in seven modules: developing a tourism product in the Samara Region, resolving visa formalities, conducting a promotional tour, negotiating with a hotel, conducting a training event for travel agents, and solving case studies and testing.

"Preparations began immediately after I learned I'd won the regional stage. Varvara Shamakhova, who advanced to the national stage in the Travel Agency category, and I attended additional classes where we prepared.

The tasks at the championship were challenging but interesting. I remember most the module where we conducted a promotional tour of two hotels on Phu Quoc Island in Vietnam. I also enjoyed participating in the interregional stage – everyone in my cohort was friendly, and we became friends. I'm pleased with my result, but it wouldn't have been possible without our instructors," said Alena Muslakhova.
