The Volga Region State University of Physical Culture, Sports and Tourism is holding a national competition "Pushkin and the Modern Generation" to mark the birthday of the great Russian poet Alexander Pushkin.
Pupils of 9-11 grades of schools, students of colleges and universities can take part in it.
To do this you need to write an essay on the theme of the contest, draw up your work and send it together with the application form to the organisers' email pgufksit@bk.ru.
The competition is organised in three categories: essays in English, essays in French and essays in native languages (Russian or Tatar). Works can be prepared on the following topics: "Digital Man" of the XXI century and Pushkin's compassion for man"; "Pushkin's love for Russia and patriotism in times of globalisation"; "Attitude of Pushkin and Generation Z to the history of Russia"; "Physical development and appearance of a young man of Pushkin's generation and Generation Z"; "Purpose of life of a young man of Pushkin's generation and Generation Z".
Entries will be accepted until 1 June inclusive.
The results will be published on 6 June on the University website.
