Today representatives of Chuvashia and Vladimir region started training at the Centre for the Development of Human Resources Potential of the Tourism Industry of Tatarstan.

The trainees were welcomed by Sergey Ivanov, Chairman of the State Committee for Tourism of Tatarstan.

He reminded that in Russia within the framework of the national project "Tourism and Hospitality Industry" three centres for the development of human resources potential were created - in St. Petersburg, Moscow region and in Tatarstan.

"The task of our centre on the basis of Povolzhsky University is to build up competences in creating and developing tourism clusters and territories in the regions of our country," said Sergey Ivanov.

"We are very pleased that the organisation of one of the centres was entrusted to us, Tatarstan. We have experience in organising large events, which led to rapid development of infrastructure. Plus we are starting to implement a project with the corporation "Tourism. RF" Kazan Marina and certain competences and we are also ready to share them," he added.

According to him, the task of this centre is to exchange experience, to see how colleagues in the regions work, what know-how and developments there are. To make the tourism product in our country competitive with foreign countries.

The Chairman of the State Committee also informed those present about the existing programmes and support measures in the country, which can be used for the implementation of tourism projects developed by the trainees during the training at the centre.

"All conditions have been created so that new tourist infrastructure is created in Russia and the number of tourist trips grows," he added.

Recall that in 2023, representatives of three Russian regions - Samara region, Tatarstan and Bashkiria - were trained at the Centre for Human Resources Potential.

For 2024, the task is to train 21 teams.
