The All-Russian round of the XXXVI Olympic Scientific Session “Olympism, Olympic Movement, Olympic Games (History and Modernity)” was held on the basis of the Russian University of Sport “GTSOLIFK”. Traditionally, the organizers were the Russian Olympic Committee and the Central Olympic Academy.
The Olympic Scientific Session was attended by students and young scientists from sports universities and Olympic academies from all over Russia. Representatives of higher educational institutions and the National Olympic Academy of the Republic of Belarus were the guests of honor. Representatives of the Volga Region University also took part in the session. In particular, Valeria Kapustinskaya, having presented a report on “The Impact of Sanctions Policy on the Development of Athletics in the Russian Federation”, won the third place in the category “Young Scientists”.
Student Angelika Arapova made a report “Obstacle Race: Problems and Solutions” and became a laureate, taking fourth place in the category “Students”.
Student Yaroslav Novitsky presented a report “The project of sponsorship of the Russian Olympic Committee in holding regional sports competitions among amateurs” and became the ninth in the category “Students”.
Professor of the Department of Theory and Methodology of Physical Culture and Sports - a member of the jury of the All-Russian round of the XXXVI Olympic Scientific Session - Firuza Zotova told about the participation of Volga region University in the event.
- Every year in November, Volga region University holds a regional round of the Olympic Scientific Session, in which universities from all over the republic participate. Thanks to this, the best of the best defend the honor of Tatarstan at the All-Russian round. Students and graduate students of Volga region University have repeatedly become prize-winners and winners of the Olympic Scientific Session. Teachers have also won prizes. For example, Lyubov Botova, Head of the Department of Theory and Methodology of Gymnastics, was awarded a trip to the residence of the International Olympic Committee in Switzerland. And Andrey Brovkin, associate professor of the department of theory and methodology of athletics and rowing sports named after Tsyganov, as a graduate student, visited Greece.
This year the students representing Volga Region University were well prepared. Valeria Kapustinskaya participated for the fourth time. A person who has been to the Olympic Scientific Session at least once falls in love with this spirit and finds friends. The session acts as a platform for students from different universities to communicate,” Firuza Zotova shared.
