President of the Russian Olympic Committee Stanislav Pozdnyakov was shown his own developments at the Volga Region University

Russian sabre fencer, five-time Olympic champion, five-time Olympic sabre medallist, President of the Russian Olympic Committee Stanislav Pozdnyakov visited the Volga Region University of Physical Culture, Sports and Tourism today.

Accompanied by Marat Bariev, Chairman of the Olympic Council of the Republic of Tatarstan, and Khalil Shaikhutdinov, First Deputy Minister of Sport of Tatarstan, he familiarised himself with the material and technical capabilities of the university and its scientific base. In particular, the guest was shown the auditorium fund, concert hall, multimedia system of the university.

In the Research Institute Stanislav Pozdnyakov was told about the activities and capabilities of the Volga Region University laboratories and demonstrated his own development - a force-measuring unit for assessing the kinematic and dynamic characteristics of leg muscles.

During the visit, the President of the Russian Olympic Committee also visited the Institute of Sport. Robert Bikmukhametov, Director of the Institute, told about the areas of training and peculiarities of admission.  

At the end of the visit, the Russian fencer met with Rector of the Volga Region University Rafis Burganov, where the parties discussed possible ways of cooperation.
