Scientists from Volga Region University will participate in the 20th episode of the family science popularization project "PROScience," which will take place this Saturday at Kazan Federal University. The event will traditionally bring together children and adults in a shared passion for science.
At the festival, the university will present several family activities. One of them will be the master class "Body Biomap: What's Hiding in Your Body?" – a hands-on session using bioimpedance analysis. Children and their parents will be able to safely and quickly test their body composition using specialized equipment and learn the percentage of muscle mass, water, and fat in their bodies.
There will also be a neuro-attraction, "The Power of Mental Balance," an interactive zone using wireless neural interfaces (EEG headsets). Children will be able to use the power of concentration or relaxation, controlling alpha and beta rhythms in their brains, to move objects on the screen, or control a robotic ball.
In the virtual reality game zone, children will be able to participate in the dynamic quest "VR Fitness: Energy of the Future." The game will challenge coordination, speed, and agility, demonstrating that physical education and sports can be both high-tech and engaging.
Furthermore, there will be a team competition based on a life-size human anatomical model, "Build a Superhero." Participants will race to place internal organs, answering questions about healthy habits that "boost" each organ system: the heart, lungs, brain, and others.
It is important to note that this year's festival will be part of the cultural program of the 5th Kazan Global Youth Summit. Honorary guests will include Raisa of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and Russian Minister of Science Valery Falkov.
