The Volga Region State University of Physical Culture, Sports and Tourism invites you to take part in the Republican essay contest ‘Pushkin: Familiar and Unknown’ among students of 9-11 grades of general and sports schools, secondary specialised educational institutions and students of higher educational institutions of Tatarstan.

The competition was organised by the Department of Foreign Languages and Linguistics of the university. Its aim is to increase interest in the literary heritage of Russia and to develop the creative abilities of pupils and students in writing essays in foreign and native languages.

The creative competition is organised in three categories: essays in English, essays in French and essays in native languages (Russian and Tatar). Each of them includes two age categories of participants - students of schools and secondary specialised educational institutions, as well as university students.

The contestants are expected to write about ten topics devoted to patriotism, spiritual peace, personal honour and dignity, the nature of Russia, love and friendship in the works of Alexander Sergeyevich Pushkin.

To participate in the competition, you need to send an application form and an essay by 1 June to the Organising Committee's email . Experts will announce the results on 6 June.
