The Volga Region University of Physical Culture, Sports and Tourism hosted an International Student Video Conference dedicated to modern trends in the theory and methodology of physical education and sports training. The scientific event was held for the fifth time.
The conference was organized by the Department of Theory and Methodology of Volleyball and Basketball of the Volga Region University and the Faculty of Physical Culture and Sports of the Pridnestrovian State University. T.G. Shevchenko.
The conference was attended by students, undergraduates and graduate students from the T.G. Shevchenko Pridnestrovian State University, Belgorod State University, West Kazakhstan Innovation and Technology University and the Belarusian State University of Physical Culture.
The head of the department of theory and methodology of volleyball and basketball at the Volga Region University of Sports, Igor Konovalov, as well as representatives of other universities, greeted the participants.
The topics of the reports touched on various aspects of physical culture and sports. The speakers focused on the issues of psychological and functional training of athletes in various sports, historical aspects of athletes’ performances at the Olympic Games, the importance of physical education in working with populations of different ages, etc.
The participants' reports aroused interest; there were many questions from students and teachers who took part in the conference. Based on the results of the video conference, it was decided to further expand the format of the scientific event and prepare conference materials for publication and placement in the RSCI.
