They sent 300 scientific papers from 40 regions of Russia, as well as from neighboring countries: Belarus, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and China.

Rector of Volga Region University Rafis Burganov opened the plenary session of the conference. Having welcomed the participants, the Rector wished them new guidelines for further scientific research, as well as improvement of the system of training future specialists.

- The conference is held at the Volga Region University for the sixth time since 2017 in the format of an open dialog. It is aimed at discussing current problems of physical culture and sports, exchange of scientific and practical experience for further improvement of the process of physical education, sports training, adaptive physical culture, recreation with different age and social groups of the population, - Rafis Burganov emphasized the purpose of the scientific meeting.

The conference was attended by Eduard Bezuglov, Head of the medical staff of the professional soccer club CSKA, Head of the Medical Expert Council under the President of the Russian Premier League. He reviewed in detail the epidemiology of injuries in the leading team of the Russian Premier League in the competitive seasons 2021-2022/2023-2024.

- The study involved athletes from CSKA Moscow professional soccer club over the last three competitive seasons, thanks to which we were able to study injury patterns. I believe that this analysis will help us to track trends in Russian soccer and compare them with trends in European soccer as well. This study is part of a cycle of research on Russian elite soccer, earlier part of the research was published in foreign journals, - said Eduard Bezuglov.

The report on the actual topic “The content and organization of sports training of highly qualified female athletes during pregnancy” was presented by Professor Firuza Zotova of the Department of Theory and Methodology of Physical Education and Sport of the Volga Region University together with Elena Vyalbe, President of the Russian Cross-Country Skiing Federation, Head of the Russian Cross-Country Skiing Association.

- During the study, we analyzed the training experience of 28 female athletes from different disciplines, all of whom are masters of sport of international class and honored athletes of Russia. According to the results of the analysis, we found that athletes undergo physiological and anatomical changes during pregnancy, which may slightly affect their training process. However, they perceive pregnancy not as a disease, but as a normal physiological process. Athletes are able not only to train and perform at high-level competitions, taking into account the peculiarities of health, but also to quickly return to the sport after childbirth, - said Firuza Zotova at the end of her speech.

The representative of young scientists at the plenary session was Ekaterina Manzyuk, the winner of the All-Russian round of the XXXVI Olympic Scientific Session. She analyzed in her report the cultural code within the opening and closing ceremonies of the Olympic Games.

The scientific event also included master classes in the areas of fitness and adaptive physical culture for students of Volga Region University and conference participants. The experts told about the peculiarities of marketing in fitness, principles of working with clients, as well as methods of conducting classes for children with disabilities.

Ilyas Gaifiev, a fitness trainer of the highest category, held a master class “Secrets of working with a client in a gym”, in which he drew the students' attention to the principles of working with visitors.

- Today he spoke about effective interaction with clients and the importance of understanding their health features and contraindications. The master class included a theoretical and practical part: I paid attention to several exercises, their technique and common mistakes. I believe that when working as fitness trainers in the future students will be helped by knowledge of anatomy, physiology and biomechanics. I hope that thanks to our master class they learned something new,” Ilyas Gaifiev shared.

At the end of the conference, breakout sessions were held, during which young scientists from Russian and foreign universities shared their experience and delved into research topics, as well as received recommendations for the defense of future scientific theses.
