Rector of Povolzhsky University Rafis Burganov held an open meeting with college students on the occasion of the Day of Secondary Vocational Education. He congratulated the teachers and college director Alsa Zheltyakova on the professional holiday. The meeting was also attended by Vice-Rector for Administration and Social Development Natalia Grechannikova.
The children asked the rector of Volga Region University their questions and got to know him better. Rafis Burganov told about his years of study at school and university, his choice of profession and career path. Rafis Burganov also noted the reasons for the establishment of the college at Volga Region University and encouraged the students to do what they love and develop in their professional activity.
‘We are members of a large team of the Volga Region University and our task is to educate professional workers of sports and tourism,’ emphasised Rafis Burganov. - The University works systematically, so we realised that we lacked a core that would allow first-year undergraduate students to quickly get into their studies and activist life. Studenthood is a short time, so to prolong it, the college was created as a cradle of professional professionals. I am sure that you will come out as the best trainers, teachers and tourism workers’.
