Applications for participation in the XIII Volga Region University Olympiad in Physical Culture among schoolchildren of 9-11 grades, which will be held from January 10 to February 2 on the basis of the university, have started.
The Olympiad has been held since 2012, its organizer is the Tsyganov Department of Theory and Methodology of Athletics and Rowing under the guidance of Professor Ildar Latypov.
The Olympiad consists of two stages: at the first stage schoolchildren have to answer 30 questions on the website of Volga Region University, and the program of the second stage includes test tasks on the theory and methodology of physical education, as well as on the program of secondary general education in gymnastics, basketball, volleyball, mini-football, athletics and swimming.
Winners and prize-winners of the Olympiad will receive additional points when entering Volga Region University for physical education and sports training.
