Larisa Minina, a college teacher at the Volga Region University of Physical Culture, Sports and Tourism, won the regional stage of the All-Russian competition among pedagogical staff of the secondary vocational education system “Master of the Year - 2025”. She was among the five leaders in the nomination “Creative approach in the presentation of professional activity”.
The objectives of the competition were to identify and encourage talented and enterprising masters of colleges and technical schools. This year 136 teachers from 56 colleges and technical schools applied for the contest, and 135 participants passed the qualifying round and took part in the regional stage. Ilsur Khadiullin, Minister of Education and Science of Tatarstan, took part in the awarding ceremony.
- I learned about the competition from the college director Alsu Ravilovna - back in October she suggested I take part, but I had my doubts, as there were no regulations yet. However, I agreed - I decided to try my hand and compete with myself first of all. At all stages of the competition I was supported by the whole team headed by Alsu Ravilovna: they encouraged me, gave me advice and critically evaluated my work,” Larisa Minina emphasized.
The first competition task was a public presentation in the format of a video recording of up to three minutes. During this short time Larisa Minina told about pedagogical technologies, methods and techniques that she uses in the educational process to prepare students for professional activity. She also included video and photos from her classes in her presentation.
In the second competition task the college teacher demonstrated in the online format a master class of the class in the discipline “Russian language and culture of professional communication” with students of the specialty of adaptive physical culture. In the project she touched on everything she mentioned in her self-presentation. At the class, students participated in the conversation, were involved in project activities, and demonstrated communication skills during the defense of their work.
- Of course, I approached all the competition tasks creatively and tried to show my individual professional handwriting. Participation in the competition allowed me to analyze my competencies and outline the trajectory of my future work, - Larisa Minina shared.
