Tatarstan has the right approach to the issue of training coaching staff. Igor Ivashin, head coach of the Russian national golf team, made the statement during the meeting with Rafis Burganov, Rector of the Volga Region State University of Physical Culture, Sport and Tourism. The meeting took place during Mr Ivashin's working visit to Kazan and was dedicated to personnel training.
As we earlier reported, the Volga Region State University of Physical Culture, Sports and Tourism will start training golf coaches from the new academic year. The respective instruction was given by Rustam Minnikhanov, Raiser of Tatarstan. Today this Olympic sport is in dire need for qualified staff. At the same time, all necessary conditions have been created for children to play this sport.
During the meeting Rafis Burganov, Rector of Tatarstan's Sports University, talked about the university's potential and said that he looks forward to the support and long-term cooperation.
"Tatarstan is the land where many champions have grown up. And the question of training coaching staff is a global one. I'm sure that everything will work out for us, and this direction will be developed," summed up the head coach of the national golf team.
