The men's and women's national teams of Volga Region University of Sports and Tourism became silver medallists of the 5th Anniversary All-Russian Student Snowball Rugby Tournament "Snezhny Zilant".
The 18 teams from Kazan, Moscow, Belgorod, Perm, Volgograd, Ufa and Makhachkala (12 men's and 6 women's teams) took part in the tournament that took place on March 4th at the stadium of the KAI Olympus Sports Complex.
In men's competitions, Kazan's Kazan National Research Technological University took the first place, Volga Region University of Sports and Tourism came second, and Volgograd VolgaAU closed in the top three. Among the women's teams the athletes from Makhachkala took the first place, the "silver" was taken by the Volga Region University, and the third place went to KNITU-KAI.
