Anna Chernysheva, a student of Volga Region University of Sport and Tourism, won the international Emirates Sports Karate Open.
The tournament was held in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates, on March 2-6. More than 600 athletes from 19 countries competed in the tournament. The main rivals of the Russian team were athletes from Algeria, Azerbaijan, Bahrain, Belarus, Egypt, Italy, Kuwait, Nepal, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, UAE and Uzbekistan.
Anna competed in the senior kumite female 55kg category. The athlete won three fights against representatives of St. Petersburg, Penza Region and Perm Region. For Anna it is the third "gold" in three weeks (All-Russian competitions "Olympic hopes", the Cup of Russia and Emirates Open).
