The Unics sports complex hosted a fitness aerobics competition as part of the Spartakiad of Educational Organisations of Higher Education of the Republic of Tatarstan. The tournament included competitions in five disciplines: "step aerobics", "aerobics", "aerobics - 5 people", "hip-hop" and "hip-hop large group".
The recently formed aerobics fitness aerobics team of Volga Region University competed against ten universities of the republic and represented the university at its first start with dignity. Among 28 teams that competed in the 'aerobics' discipline, the university's team placed second, and in 'aerobics 5-person' - third. The "hip-hop" team was one step away from the podium and placed fourth.
In total, the team scored 64 points for the university.
