Two medals were earned by the students of the Volga Region University of Physical Culture, Sport and Tourism after the indoor multiathlon championship which was held in Smolensk on February 18-23.
The traditionalathlon included shot put (men and women), 60 m running (men and women), 60 m hurdles (men and women), 800 m running (men and women), 1000 m running (men and women), high jump (men and women), pole vault (men and women), long jump (men and women).
Yulia Sohatska took the silver medal with the total score of 4,199 points (60m hurdles - 8.49, high jump - 1.72, shot put - 12.07, long jump - 5.95, 800m - 2:21.69). Andrey Nikitin took the bronze medal with 5105 points (7.46 - 6.62 - 10.37 - 2.06 - 8.44 - 4.30 - 2:55.32). The athlete represented the Chuvash Republic at this tournament.
