On 9-11 December, one of the facilities of the Volga Region University of Physical Culture, Sports and Tourism - the Burevestnik Universal Sports Complex - will host the traditional Svetlana Romashina Cup synchronised swimming tournament named after the multiple Olympic champion. The opening ceremony of the competition will take place on December 9 at 16:15. Svetlana Romashina and Alexandra Patskevich will give a master class on December 10 and a gala concert will be held on the final day of the competition, December 11.

The Svetlana Romashina Cup brings together over 150 boys and girls aged 13-15 from the Republic of Belarus, Cuba, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Russia. The Republic of Tatarstan will be represented at the tournament by three national teams at once: the "Dolphin" sports school, the school of Tatiana Pokrovskaya (KazUOR) and the "Aquatics" sports school for aquatic sports. A total of 34 athletes from Tatarstan are taking part in the competition.
