At the first meeting of the Academic Council of the Volga Region University of Sports held on Thursday, the election of the directors of the institutes and the teaching staff of the university took place.
It should be noted that in accordance with the decision of the Academic Council of the University, held on June 24, 2021, the updated organizational structure of the university was approved, in which the faculties were transformed into Institutes, and several new departments appeared.
Thus, by a unanimous decision of the Academic Council, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences and Professor of the Department of Theory and Methodology of Tennis and Badminton Robert Bikmukhametov was elected director of the Institute of Sports; Director of the Institute of Physical Culture - Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor Iskander Galeev; Director of the International Institute of Hotel Management and Tourism-Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences Rezeda Khadiullina; director of the Institute of Correspondence Education-Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, professor Oleg Solomakhin; The director of the Institute of Additional Education is Doctor of Biological Sciences, Professor Elvira Rumyantseva.
As a result of structural transformations, several new departments have appeared. Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor Nail Fazleev was elected to the post of head of the Department of Physical Culture.
Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor Rishat Galiyev, who is well known to students of the Faculty of Sports from his work as a deputy dean for academic affairs, was elected to the post of head of the Department of Theory and Methodology of Skiing.
The Department of Theory and Methodology of Water Sports was headed by Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor Aigul Zinnatnurova, who previously worked as a deputy director at the Almaz sports school.
Candidate of Law, Associate Professor Sergey Druzhkov, who joined the Volga Region University from the Kazan branch of the RANEPA under the President of the Russian Federation, was elected Head of the Department of Social and Humanitarian Disciplines.
Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor, certified teacher of the Adizes Academy of Management (USA) Albina Khairullina has started working as the head of the Department of Economics and Management in Sports. Previously, she worked at the Institute of Management, Economics and Finance of KFU.
During the secret ballot, the teaching staff was replenished with several new specialists. In total, 32 people took part in the competitive selection for the positions of teaching staff belonging to the teaching staff. 12 of them went to work at the University from other universities and structures.
We are always glad at the Volga Region University to return specialists who have gained experience in other universities and structures.
A graduate of the Volga Region University, Dilyara Bashirova, who worked as a teacher at KSEU after completing her studies, returned to her native university as a teacher of the Department of Theory and Methodology of Physical Culture and Sports.
Dmitry Drozhetsky, who is well known to students and teachers of the university from his work at the Aquatics Center, having gained managerial experience as the head of the Olympian swimming pool, will continue his career at the Department of Water Sports as a senior teacher.
The University successfully implements the continuity policy. Adilya Tazutdinova, who completed her master's degree at the Volga Region University, started working as a teacher of the Department of Adaptive Physical Culture and Life Safety.
After the announcement of the voting results, Acting Rector of the University Rafis Burganov addressed the audience in the hall of the Academic Council:
- Having elected such a large number of cadres today, including senior ones – we did not receive a single vote against. I perceive such unanimity as a desire to carry out the tasks that we have set for ourselves together, hand in hand. I hope that the future work will be as friendly. We have already decided a lot today and have already set new goals. We have a lot of tasks ahead of us. I hope that in the near future, we will take a worthy place not only among sports universities, but in general in the world university community. In the near future, we will have to work more actively in the scientific field. This is one of the main indicators on which both financing and ratings depend. I hope that the current personnel strengthening will affect the results of our work. I congratulate everyone, including those whom we have elected today, on the beginning of the new academic year and wish them success in their work!
