The name of the acting rector of the Volga State University of Physical Culture, Sports and Tourism Rafis Burganov was entered in the Book of Honor of Kazan today. The ceremony was held within the framework of the solemn meeting held in the Kazan City Hall dedicated to the Republic Day and the City Day.
After the award ceremony, Rafis Timerkhanovich addressed the mayor and those present in the hall with the following words:
- I had a chance to work in two teams. At first, you and I, Ilsur Raisovich, worked in the team of K. Iskhakov. We know Kazan is not a parade, which has experienced very difficult times. Then there was a program for the elimination of dilapidated housing, a program for preparing and holding the 1000th anniversary of the city, the construction of the first metro line began. At that time, the foundation was laid for the further dynamic development of our city.
With your return in 2005, Ilsur Raisovich, the city has received a new vector of development aimed at further construction of comfortable housing, creating a comfortable, safe environment for the population. Then an unprecedented, large-scale work began to attract new investments to the capital of Tatarstan. The largest international events were organized and held: the XXVII World Summer Universiade, the World Championships in aquatics, football, the 45th World Championship in professional skills WorldSkils-2019.
All this means tens of billions of investments, dozens of interchanges, tens of kilometers of new and repaired roads, a huge number of sports, social and cultural infrastructure facilities. Many thanks to you, Ilsur Raisovich, Many thanks to the Kazan City Duma, our teachers who taught and insured us when we started our career, to all the residents of the city, the leadership of our republic and the country, for the opportunity that was given to us so that we could work under the leadership of our mayors, so that Kazan gained the status of the Third Capital, became the pride not only of our republic, but also of our vast Russia, and became recognizable all over the world! I wish you, Ilsur Raisovich, and your team success in the development of the city. And let us, as far as possible, remain your assistants in this process.
