"Our cooperation is very fruitful," comments Gulnaz Ageeva, Executive Director of the project in Russia, Associate Professor of the Department of Economics and Management in Sports at the Volga Region University. - Lecturers from Germany are leading experts in the field of sports economics, sports management and marketing of this country. For three years now, we have been cooperating with Frank Daumann (Doctor of Economics, Professor, Head of the Department of Sports Economics at the Vuniversitet. F.Schiller, author of the MBA program), Markus Breuer (Professor of the Department of Sports Management and Management, head of the Master of Sport Management program at the University of Applied Sciences in Heidelberg) and Christoph Rasche (Professor at the University of Potsdam, Doctor of Economics, Director of the Institute of Sports Science, head of the research group and co-editor of the journals "Leadership" and "Strategic Management". In the summer school-2021, our regular lecturers will be joined by Norbert Schuette (Mainz University named after Johann Gutenberg), Professor Benedict Remmelt (Heidelberg High School) and Gerald Fritz, director of the German Olympic Academy.
The remote format, in which this year it was decided to hold a summer school, will not prevent us from bringing up to 30 students who will be selected, current issues and trends in the development of the sports industry. Scientific and theoretical lectures will be combined with practical classes - case studies, project work and life-excursions to sports facilities in German cities and, of course, in Kazan. The participants of the school will also have meetings with managers in the field of sports, so I advise them to study the topic and prepare their questions for the speakers. Of course, according to tradition, participants will be able to get acquainted with the culture and history of Germany, the organizers also attach great importance to this.
Among the topics discussed at the school-2021 are the digitalization of sports, the economic analysis of manipulation in sports and the analysis of gender pay inequality in the field of sports. In addition to professional knowledge, it is also a great opportunity to improve the level of English. Classes will be held without translation.
For students, undergraduates and postgraduates of management specialties, participation in the summer school is a great opportunity to update and replenish their piggy bank of knowledge, taking into account acquaintance with the economics of the sports market and the data of new research in this field. To date, 60 students from all over Russia have already participated in this project. We received only positive feedback about the school's program, its lecturers and opportunities to improve our communication and cultural skills. A certificate at the end of the school is issued to everyone, but most importantly, the children still have friendly ties – excellent assistants in the profession.
