Alexander Mironov was appointed Head of the Sports Work Department of the Volga State University of Physical Culture, Sports and Tourism. Since September 2020, he has been the head of the interuniversity testing center of the VFSK TRP at the university. Introducing the new head of the department to the team, Acting Rector of the Volga Region University Rafis Burganov noted that the previous experience of sports work in the administration of the Kirov and Moscow districts of Kazan will be very useful. "Therefore, without swinging," Burganov stated.
New tasks have been added to the previous tasks that remained in the area of responsibility of Alexander Mironov. "Increasing the number of our students at the highest level competitions and developing a sports student club are our main goals for the near future," Mironov comments. - It is important to know about the existence of the university and the conditions of study there for both professional active athletes and young champions, our potential applicants. So that each of them comes to us and proudly says that he is studying at the Volga Region University of Sports and Tourism. Unfortunately, this does not always happen yet, and we also have to work with this."
According to the results of the management of the TRP center by Alexander Mironov, the number of university students who met the standards for obtaining the distinction sign almost doubled - from 700 to 1300 people. It is up to the staff and the teaching staff of the university.
