On June 3, the Center of Rowing Sports hosted the festival of sports tourism "RISOT FEST" -an event that was invented and held for the second time by students and teachers of the Department of Recreation, Sports and Health Tourism and Fitness, as well as participants of the university tour club.
Any student of the university, as well as invited young athletes representing Tatarstan in orienteering competitions, could take part in the festival events.
"RISOT FEST" is gaining popularity among university students: compared to the debut festival-2019, there were significantly more participants in exciting tourist competitions this time. But the dean of the Faculty of Physical Culture Iskander Galeev, addressing the organizers at the opening ceremony, advised them not to rest on their laurels. The holiday of fans of sports and health tourism should, according to the dean, become larger.
Tourists are not going to "rest on their laurels", judging by the ingenuity with which they approached the compilation of the program of the second festival. To the seven tourist stages that the participants had to go through - water, cycling, orienteering in the maze, freeroup (overcoming special distances consisting of rope elements), marking the rope, knitting knots, lighting a fire, they added six entertainment stages. Such as "Strong stomach", "Pazlomania", "Sharp eye" and "I think I found it".
When the participants, studying the map and following the itinerary, tried to light a fire from the materials at hand or to overcome the distance on a catamaran, they, as they say, were not amused. But the processes of determining the composition of a cocktail from unknown ingredients to taste, or an object hidden in a box to the touch, were accompanied by endless jokes and laughter from the fans and the contestants themselves…
The festival's signature sports and wellness atmosphere was provided by a good "soundtrack", and the festivities were added by a sports show performed by young students of the Aikido section, whose performance was organized by a 3rd-year student Georgy Volodin.
Well, the winners and prize-winners of the competitions, plus those marked by the organizers as the most productive and active, the participants will keep pleasant memories of this day thanks to colorful diplomas and memorable prizes.
