Today, the Volga State University of Physical Culture, Sports and Tourism hosted the VII All-Russian Scientific and Practical Conference with international participation "Problems and Innovations of Sports Management, Recreation and Sports and Health Tourism", organized jointly by the Departments of Sports Management and Recreation, Sports and Health Tourism and Fitness.

The conference gathered a representative composition of participants. As the head of the Department of Sports Management, Galina Golubeva, said during the opening ceremony of the plenary session, the forum was attended by the authors of 130 studies who sent their works. Among them are representatives of seven specialized universities, including three foreign ones - the Uzbek State University of Physical Culture, the Azerbaijan and Kyrgyz State Academies of Physical Culture.

Acting Vice-Rector of the University for Research and International Affairs Andrey Nazarenko, addressing the participants, said:

- We are happy to welcome you to the conference. This is a unique opportunity to exchange experience, search for opportunities for innovation, new forms of development. I am sure that the discussions and constructive exchange of views will contribute to the formation of new knowledge and scientific approaches in various areas of sports management, recreation and sports and health tourism.

During the plenary session, seven reports were heard. Advisor to the Chairman of the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan, Marcel Miftakhov, told the audience about "Improving the criteria for evaluating regional policies in the field of physical culture and sports". Sports producer, director of the Kazan marathon and the TIMERMAN series Vadim Yangirov shared his opinion on what projects are most in demand in the sports industry today. President of the Synchronized Swimming Federation of the Republic of Tatarstan, Head of the Sports Services Department of the ANO "Directorate of Sports and Social Projects" Alexandra Babicheva made a report on the topic "Prospects for the development of synchronized swimming in the Republic of Tatarstan".

After the end of the plenary session, the conference participants continued their work within the framework of three sections, during which, according to Galina Golubeva, many interesting speeches were also made and the most pressing issues of the development of the sports industry were touched upon:

- The conference was a success! So many bright reports! Vadim Yangirov charged everyone with energy and new ideas, telling about the main directions and trends in sports management. Presented an in-depth analysis: what is in demand on the market today. The informative and in-depth report of Marcel Renatovich Miftakhov, who opened the plenary session, also made an impression. I have already talked to the participants of the conference, they especially emphasize the scientific and practical significance of the reports. Many people literally "lit up" with new ideas. And how much valuable information they received from people with extensive practical experience. It is worth hearing a lot from the general director of SPORTSFERA, Evgeny Blinov, about the subtleties of organizing sports camps. No less valuable is the information contained in the report of Alexandra Babicheva from the point of view of the management of the sports federation. I would like to note that the work of the university representatives shows good skills in conducting scientific research, experiments, and analyzing the material obtained.
