Today, the Volga Region Academy hosted an online Open Day. More than 300 people watched the live broadcast of the event on the official Youtube account of the university.
Despite the fact that the academy already has experience of online events within the framework of the last admission campaign, this is the first time that the university has held such a large-scale event in a digital format. During more than an hour of communication with applicants, the acting Rector of the Academy Rafis Burganov, heads and employees of faculties, departments, teachers, students and undergraduates of the university, the head of student associations visited the studio specially equipped for this purpose. In between the live performances of the studio guests, videos were shown telling about the academy: about science classes, studies, sports tournaments, the life of students in the hostel, the activities of the student asset. The event was the debut in the role of executive secretary of the admissions Committee of the Academy Danir Islyamov. And I must admit, he coped with the role of moderator and host of the show perfectly.    
the format of the digital online show, in which the "academicians" decided to hold an open day, was chosen not only based on the current conditions associated with sanitary and epidemiological restrictions. This was also stated by Rafis Burganov in his welcoming speech:
- I am glad that you are interested in such a presentation of information. after all, our academy is both experienced and young. We have almost 50 years of teaching experience, but at the same time, none of our buildings are older than 10 years. All of them are built with the use of new technologies and meet the most modern requirements.
Judging by the active exchange of replicas from the chat channel, the Open Doors Day aroused genuine, sincere interest of the audience representing the most diverse regions of Russia. Many shared their impressions of visiting the academy. And of course, the tape was full of questions: "Guys, everyone needs to pass the entrance exam in biology and Russian?"; " The title of master of sports gives some advantage?"; " How to get additional points for the Unified State Exam? Will the academy hold any internal competitions with the possibility of obtaining additional points for admission?»…
Some of these questions were answered during the current Open Day, and some will be answered on December 19 during the planned series of online meetings with faculty representatives. But communication of those wishing to enter the university with the staff of the admission committee is not limited to individual events. On the social media platforms created by the Academy, you can ask a question at any time. In fact, the Open Day has just begun today and will not end until the publication of the order on enrollment with lists of newly minted students.
