The Russian championship in Taekwondo (WTF) was completed in Moscow. One of the stages of selection to the national team of the country was successfully passed by "academicians". Larisa Medvedeva won the championship title in the weight category up to 46 kg. Her twin sister Galina Medvedeva was third in the 49 kg category. The bronze medalist of the competition among men was the debutant of adult tournaments Danil Alekseev (in / K up to 63 kg).
Another student of the Volga region Academy Yulia Kazryatova lost to the champion classmate in the weight category up to 46 kg in the semifinals and was eliminated from the fight for prizes. Marcel Ivanov, who according to the coach has a good potential, was recruited at the Department of combat experience.
According to Alexey Kaplev, a trainer-teacher of the Department of theory and methods of martial arts, an interesting season awaits the children ahead:
"We have a number of starts to prepare for the world Cup and the world University games. In the near future, we plan to compete in two ranking tournaments, which will result in the final formation of the national team to participate in the world championship. In the spring, we will have to make a selection for the world summer Universiade, where we are going to apply for several tickets at once. Larisa finished all four of her fights ahead of schedule, Yulia and Galina promised me a rematch, and for Alexey Danilov getting into the prizes is just a great success, he also performed for the first time at the adult national championship."
