Today, the reception of documents wishing to enroll in the Volga region Academy of sports for training in master's programs has ended. On August 5, the deadline for accepting applications from applicants who have decided to study at the Academy for a bachelor's degree expires.
On August 6, the entrance tests will start, which this year, as you know, are held online. This includes additional entrance tests of professional orientation. We have already reported that the University has developed theoretical tests for this purpose based on the school curriculum on the theory and history of physical culture. There is still time to prepare for these tests. For those applicants who want to add theoretical knowledge, the Volga Academy offers to use electronic library resources, access to which is open to both students and applicants. We are talking about the electronic library "yurayt" and the electronic library system "LAN". Head of the library Yulia Zubkova drew special attention to some features of the library systems during the entrance exams:
- In the electronic library system " LAN " until September 30, access to the entire collection of textbooks is open – including the Humanities and other areas of interest - whereas in normal times we subscribe only to books on physical culture and sports. In addition, on the "Electronic resources" page, you can use test accesses to other library systems that are currently open to users. The corresponding usernames and passwords are listed under each link. In addition, since this year, we have been able to view some of the periodicals in electronic form. Links are placed on the same page. I would like to add that our University's own content is being formed from the work of our teachers and agreements are being signed on cooperation with other Russian universities of physical culture. In particular, starting from September, we will start exchanging manuals with the University named after p. F. Lesgaft for their placement in our systems.
In addition, according to Zubkova, EBS " LAN " has developed a free mobile app with a special service for the blind: a speech synthesizer, with which you can get acquainted with the content of textbooks and the navigation menu of the site.
