In the autumn of 2020, Russia should approve a strategy for the development of sports until 2030. Universities that train specialists in physical culture and sports play an important role in implementing the strategic plans of the Ministry of sports of Russia. According to the head of the sports Department Oleg Matytsin, it is important to ensure maximum employment of graduates in organizations and institutions of the industry.
On behalf of the Minister, educational institutions together with the relevant Department of the Ministry of sports of Russia are currently monitoring the demand for specialists in the labor market and their employment. According to Matytsin, it would be appropriate to consider the issue of state distribution of graduates, while improving the system of training and retraining, introducing advanced training and distance education.
At the Board of the Ministry of sports of Russia, held in an online format, the Minister also pointed out the important role of physical education universities in the issue of supporting and improving the social status of coaches:
- The trainer-educator is the main person of our sphere of activity, the criterion of development effectiveness. The professionalism and social status of the coach depends not only on the results of the athlete, but also on the successful formation of the personality of our children. The coach forms the character and life values of the student. Continuous development and improvement, exchange of experience and knowledge is important for the training of coaches. According to the Minister, the revival and regular holding of coaching conferences on sports organized by sports federations together with specialized educational organizations can help in this.
