The center for additional education of the Volga region Academy of sports has launched a professional development course for volleyball coaches, prepared jointly with specialists of the Russian and Tatarstan volleyball Federations under the guidance of Vladimir Babakin, an Honored coach of the RSFSR and Russia. Employees of the Zenit volleyball club and teachers of the Volga Academy help one of the most authoritative Russian specialists to implement the course.
The course program is aimed at improving the professional level of coaches of sports schools, sports schools and colleges of the Olympic reserve, youth teams and teams of the Highest League B, working with the youth reserve of 15-17 years at the stage of improving sports skills. Despite the distance learning format, almost 60 specialists from 21 regions of Russia applied to participate in the courses. The proposed program is focused on the full development of lectures and practical classes, including using video materials.
For almost three weeks, current coaches will study materials on the issues of sports training of Junior athletes, playing roles in youth volleyball and training systems for attacking, blocking, etc. The course will end on June 20 with certification, which will result in students who have successfully passed the exams not only receiving a certificate of professional development, but also a license to coach the all-Russian volleyball Federation. "This is the most advanced experience of modern volleyball," Vladimir Babakin commented on the course content. - As far as I know, there are no analogues of this course in Russia."
Another course of Vladimir Babakin, developed for joint implementation on the Basis of the center for additional education of the Volga Academy, for volleyball coaches of young volleyball players 1-2 years of sports specialization, was completed in may.
