About 50 "stuck" in Kazan foreign citizens - students of Volga Academy and of the courses of the Russian language, living in one of the houses in the Universiade Village, got from the leadership of Volga Academy of sport and tourism food packages that will allow children to maintain an adequate diet at the time of forced isolation.
Unfortunately, representatives of 15 foreign countries today do not have the opportunity to go home. Borders are closed due to the pandemic, and even money transfers are not being made. The Arab, Tajik, Uzbek and Azerbaijani diasporas first volunteered to help students in this situation through the Association of foreign students of the Republic of Tatarstan. The students shared the supplies brought to the Universiade Village by their compatriots with their neighbors. But when the issue of nutrition arose before the majority, the Academy responded. Macaroni, cereals, meat and even sweets were given to students who found themselves in an extremely unenviable situation.
The" distress signal " was transmitted by foreign students through the international Department. an online survey conducted by the Department of educational and social work allowed us to determine the list of priority products, because some residents of the hostel are now holding Uraza. The guys were really grateful:
- I want to say a huge thank you for the responsiveness of the Academy's management, - shares a student of the faculty of service and tourism geren Ovezova. - Help came on time, thank you for your concern and understanding!
- Food packages will help us a lot in this difficult time, - says Rustam Charyev, a student of the faculty of sports. - This is a good thing in the month of fasting for Muslims.
A happy student Sukhrob Obidov, after receiving packages of food, shared his "culinary" plans:
- Thank you to the Academy management for the food. We are going to prepare a festive dinner together with the guys!
Now foreign students of the Academy live in anticipation of a response to their requests and the easing of the regime of self-isolation around the world, so that countries can take out their compatriots by organizing Charter air or bus flights.
