For students passing on one of the objects of Volga Academy in the Centre of rowing sports summer school "the Economics of sport@sports management", which Volga region Academy of sport and tourism jointly with the German University of Friedrich Schiller, there has come a hot time. The program of the school has passed the equator, during classes, students increasingly have to work independently, performing practical tasks of lecturers.
Professor Frank Daumann was succeeded by Marcus Breuer, Professor of sports management and management, head of the Master of Sport Management program at the University of applied Sciences in Heidelberg. The theme of Breuer's lectures is entrepreneurship in sports and corruption in international organizations.
Before leaving, Frank Daumann shared his impressions of the time spent in Kazan:
- Kazan during the school lived in a tense rhythm in connection with the world championship of working professions opening today. This event was the reason for the" move " of the school to the center of rowing sports, which impressed me no less than the educational building of the Volga Academy, where we studied last year. Students – listeners of school who are sincerely interested in what I told them also left the mark in my soul. We had a lot of interesting discussions, they worked with difficult cases. But the presentations they prepared as a result clearly demonstrated their competence. I confess that I enjoyed working with smart and talented listeners. We talked to them about the digitalization of sports and the effectiveness of the sports betting market. Especially if players earn little and consider bets as a source of profit. We also discussed the phenomenon of eSports, which in many countries (including Germany) is not considered a real sport, but is a source of impressive earnings for competitors, attracts a large number of spectators. In dialogue podcherpnul many new information for my lectures and research.
Students program the school is also happy. It is possible that the two weeks spent in Kazan will radically change the life plans of some of them.
- I became interested in sports management after the world Cup, - says a graduate of the Baltic Federal University Christina Ariskina, who came to Kazan from Kaliningrad. - I worked in the organizing Committee of the tournament, studied at the University in the direction of social and cultural management, but I realized that I was more interested in sports. I was already in Kazan during the confederations Cup and just fell in love with the city! The school learned of Kazan is even better. We went on tour in "Pronto Expo", Sviyazhsk, a satellite town Innopolis and visited the Sviyaga shooting range and in the framework of cultural exchange in the Kazan Church, where he talked with the Director of the German House of the Republic of Tatarstan Viktor Diam.
I find it very interesting, though difficult. Some of the topics were still completely unfamiliar to me. But our lecturers are wonderful. Give comprehensive answers to all questions, and the quality of the theoretical base leaves no doubt. Besides, we have a good team. Everyone became friends and, hopefully, will continue to communicate. I think in the future I will continue my education in this direction.
