On the eve of the Ministry of sports of the Republic of Tatarstan ceremony of summing up the women's basketball season-2018/19 students of the Volga sports Academy Daria Arkhangelsk, Taisia Afanasieva, Karina Peremenina and coach of the basketball team of the University Natalia Kuleshova were awarded letters of thanks of the sports Department.
The meeting was attended by the head of the Department of sports development of the Ministry of sports Raif Vafin, President of the basketball Federation Pavel Karpov and Director of ANO "Basketball club "Kazanochka" Margarita Berzegova.
The reason for honoring the students of the Academy and their coach were bronze medals of the Russian championship 2019 in basketball 3x3, won by the Kazan team "Tulpar". The team gathered and prepared which Kuleshov, was part of a trio of "academics" and the famous Kazan basketball player Maria Popova.
In addition to the "bronze" championship of Russia in the "Tulpar", students of the Academy in the final season made a significant contribution to the successful performance of the other Kazan team. Alina Novikova and Elizaveta Zaitseva in the "Kazanochka" won the regular championship of the Russian "super League-1". And in the playoffs helped the team reach the final, in which "Kazanochka" lost to "Rostov-don-yuf".
Despite the fact that the results of the basketball season in the country have already been summed up, it continues for four students of the Academy. Daria Arkhangelsk, Taisia Afanasieva, Elizaveta Zaytseva and Alina Novikova caused on training gathering of national teams, leading the preparation of the summer Universiade-2019 in Naples.
