The silver prize-winners of superiority of Russia among students on sports (Greco-Roman and free) wrestling which took place in Ramenskoye became team of the Volga region Academy of sports.
""Academicians" Nikolay Suvorov (weight category to 72 kg) and Oleg Klimov (to 97 kg) became winners of final fights on Greco-Roman wrestling. Sergei Nadezhdin won the silver medal. These results provided the team of the University, which was headed by senior lecturer of the Department of theory and methods of gymnastics and wrestling, for a group of Mugalimov, the second team result (first place was won by students of Mgafk). It should be noted that for fighters of the Academy, participating in the championship for the second time this result is best during the performances. Last year they took the third team place.
One more medal of Academy was won in Ramenskoye in female tournament on free-style wrestling: the bronze prize-winner of tournament became the student of the 4th course Dilyara Latypova.
