And the next day the students of the Academy in Ivanovo will start in LAST-16 League Belova match with the team of another St. Petersburg University - the State forestry University.
In case of victory, the guys will compete for the quarterfinals with the winner of the MSU – UNN pair, and the women's team either with the Housewives, students of the Ivanovo state University of chemical technology, or with the team of the Russian University of transport.
Responsible fights "academics" come up, having won a confident victory in the "final four" basketball tournaments in the Olympics of universities of RT. The men's team defeated the team of the energy University in the decisive match (92:59), and the women defeated the students of KFU (100:60).

The mood of the women's team probably added a recent meeting with the rector of the Academy Yusup Yakubov, which summed up the interim results of the season. According to the head coach of the team Natalia Kuleshova, the results demonstrated by the team are, first, planned, and second, successful. In the SUPER League of ASB students became silver medalists, in the women's basketball championship of Russia 3x3 team led by Kuleshova, in which three of the four players – "academics", won the "bronze". Plus, recently the University team went to Israel for a student sports festival, where they took part in a 3x3 basketball tournament and became a silver medalist. At the meeting with the rector, the team captain Olesya Nikolenko presented the rector with a silver medal of the super League of ASB.
Yusup Yakubov, in turn, congratulated the students on their success and wished them success in the decisive meetings of the Belov League:
- The season isn't over yet. But I want to thank you for the last stage, there are several tournaments behind us, many games, including away games. And you have passed this segment with dignity. I would like to wish you to finish the season on a positive note, and of course it is good to pass the session and for this, I think, you first of all need internal optimism and self-confidence. After all, if a person is sure that he can do it, he will do it. And if he thinks that nothing depends on him, then the result will be appropriate.
