From February 25 to February 27 in the Volga region Academy of sports will be held training courses for basketball coaches on the program " Methodological foundations of the organization of classes with basketball players in the training stage and the stage of sports improvement." Courses are conducted by the center of additional education of Academy together with the Ministry of Sports of Russia and the Russian Federation of basketball. This is the "second series" of the educational cycle proposed by the RFB to the regions. The first module was held at the Academy last year and had a positive impact.
The program of the 2nd module is aimed at improving the level of theoretical and practical knowledge of basketball coaches and physical education teachers. In the program of a course of lectures and practical classes one of the most experienced and reputable coaches in physical training in the country, having experience with women's and men's national teams of Russia, CSKA, "Dynamo" and Petersburg "Spartak" Georgy Artemyev, head coach of man's Russian national team of Sergey Bazarevich and his assistant, the Serb Alexander Gruica, judges FIBA Evgeny Vetrov, Director of the higher school of trainers of Sergey Elevich, the head coach of the BC "UNICS-2" Andrey Kibenko and coach of BC Khimki Mikhail Solovyov. Of course, the Academy staff will also take part in the courses: associate Professor of medical and biological disciplines Alexey Nabatov and associate Professor of socio-economic and humanitarian disciplines Zukhra Usmanova.
The audience will be told about the current state and trends of basketball development in Russia and the world; about the specifics and features of reserve training; about the methods of improving individual, group and team interactions in various technical and tactical conditions.
The topics of practical training will be the improvement of individual technique of possession and play in defense and attack.
